Papa Gene’s Cracks & Stains Resolved
They needed professional interior painting in Chesterfield, MO, 63005. This home was needing a thorough do-over with hundreds of cracks, dents, scrapes and stains repaired. The goal was a full repaint ASAP and to put Papa Gene’s home on the market.
This called for two coats of an off white on all walls, all ceilings in a bright flat white, with trim in a white semi-gloss. Do you need interior painting in Clayton, 63105?
This is a particularly fun stairwell with skylight and tough access on the stairs. The beige patches are where the shorter ladder rested during two wall paint coats. Now its been moved and I can carefully roller over these patches, blend in, and dry with fans. (Note walls look patchy as paint is still drying)

Up in the skylight, moist air had risen and hung over three decades, so vast areas needed to be scraped, sanded, with edges caulked tight.
Then DAP Dry Dex spackle was skim coated and swirled in to match the original texture.
On all my projects, before I start any repairs, all the flooring is taped off, and then two layers of drop cloths are carefully set in place. No mess and no surprises when the project is cleaned up!

Every surface is carefully covered with tape, plastic and absorbent drop cloths. Then then mess of repairs and painting commences. The stenciled vine leaves framed a mirror, all of which had to be sanded smooth and holes filled with three coats of fast dry spackle.
What a transformation! Papa Gene’s family were thrilled and the home sold to enthusiastic purchasers.

Gone is the unsightly water stain above the mantle and window area. After cutting out damaged portions of the ceiling and wall joint, four applications of patching compound were applied, dried with fans, and sanded between coats. Next were three coats of low odor oil based stain-kill primer, then three top coats of the ceiling paint. This former eyesore area now blend in perfectly.
Here is an example of cracked drywall tape on the ceiling. It wasn’t bad enough to warrant cutting out and replacing, but there is a great, quick way to fix it.
